Fostering is the most effective way to help dogs in shelters. It is shown that dogs that are fostered have a better chance of finding their forever home. Fostering helps us take in more dogs and pervents overcrowding in the the shelter. You may notice not all of our dogs are available for foster, this is because we encourage foster dog parents to allow dogs that have been in the shelter the longest to be in a loving home.

Our guidelines for fostering are set into place to make sure every dog is going into a safe environment. Even though fostering gives dogs a temporary home we still strive to make fit the perfect fit. We give descriptions of each dogs temperment and what other animals they get along with. Even if a dog is being fostered, it is still available for adoption.

While the dogs are in our shelter we have trainers come to work with our dogs. We encourage foster dog parents to contuine with a trainer if we feel it is neccessary. Our trainer will come to your house to help at a discounted rate.
